Kieviten Tennis
On this Webpage we would like to inform you about the Tennis section of the "Omni Sportvereniging De Kieviten". Being part of the "Kieviten" family, the tennis section acts as a normal tennis club.
For all the members of the tennis section 8 clay courts and 2 all-weather Smashcourts are available, 6 of them with illumination and situated around the clubhouse at the Dr. Mansveltkade 11, Wassenaar, telephone: 070-5114649 or 070-5118515. It is also possible to play indoor tennis on three tennis hard-courts on a rental basis.
In 2009 some 835 members joined the tennis club, 455 adults and 380 juniors (< 18 yrs).
All kind of activities are organized during the summer season. Tournaments, Club championships and as a member of the Kieviten tennis section you are also member of the Royal Dutch Lawn Tennis Association (KNLTB), so you are permitted to play competition during the months April and May. You are also allowed to participate in other tournaments which are organized under the umbrella of the KNLTB. Every Wednesday evening (from 19.00 hrs) you can meet other members and you can play some doubles with random picked partners and opponents. ( "Racket trekken" )

Guests: In a limited way you are allowed as a member to bring someone with you to play tennis. ( 5 non-members per year and not more than one per day ) Before July 1st, introduction during weekends and on public holidays is not possible. Individual guests are limited to three visits per year. The costs are EUR 6,- per day and must be settled with the bar crew.
Dresscode: Although the traditional white dress code is not mandatory, proper tennis clothing and proper shoes are requested.
Behavior: In all circumstances members will behave themselves in a proper and sports like way and they will take notion of the other players. Misbehaviour can lead to a request to leave the park. All debris and personal items must be removed from the court at the conclusion of play. The premises must be returned to their original condition.
Tennislessons for members only: Trainers are available for tennis training. You can join a group or decide to have private lessons. For more information about tennis lessons you can address the trainers on the park or call them.
Information: A lot of information is in the Dutch language of course. All tennis members will receive on a regular basis the printed "Tennis Ei", which is also present in digital form on the website. Important news items will also be present in the English language on the website.
Volunteers: It is impossible to run the whole "show" without volunteers. And it is also fun to work together to organize tournaments, assist youth competition and all kind of other things. So let us know what kind of support you can bring to us.
